Outside the library pavilion, magnolias bloom anew. “In the end, it was the Wen library that was lost," Lan Xichen observes. "Their medical techniques were unparalleled. A-Yao, I know your memory. Did you read any Wen manuals, in the Nightless City?"

Hesitatingly, "I have. Could it be you wish to preserve those, too?"

"I won't force extra work on you. Should you ever wish to write them down, I'll ask one of our disciples to make a copy."

"You have a disciple who can be trusted with such knowledge?"

Lan Xichen nods. "Sizhui has a good hand. He'll do well."

Awwww. That is just the type of thing Xichen would consider.

I approve of the concern for other sects' books!
But I also wonder about the uses Jing Guangyao put that medical knowledge to.

The fact that Jin Guangyao seems to have figured out the golden core transfer in canon is...concerning tbh! I'd like to see a fic exploring what he might do, knowing that's possible.

Ah, I missed that this is also a way of allowing Sizhui to learn his family's heritage, despite not knowing that is what it is, until I saw other people comment on it!

Oh I really like this, both the idea of Jin Guangyao being one of the last people alive who might remember the Wen library, and Lan Xichen's thoughtfulness at making Sizhui the copyist. That's a really neat bit of fanon, and it conveys a lot about all three characters in just a few words!
