The room is dark, with only the pale moonlight seeping through the gaps. It’s not quite enough to see Jingyi’s face, but Sizhui can picture his soft smile and feel his gaze on his skin. They’re not touching, although there’s barely a hair’s width between them, and Sizhui knows his own desire is matched by Jingyi’s, so tangible that Sizhui can feel it.

“Can I kiss you?” Jingyi asks, and Sizhui is nodding before the sentence is finished.

As Jingyi leans in, the moonlight catches across his face, and Sizhui finds his breath is stolen twice in that single moment.

I like the parallel between how Sizhui isn't actually seeing or touching Jingyi, but can picture him and feel his desire.

The last sentence echoes that parallel beautifully, how Sizhui's breath is stolen twice (when he sees Jingyi and feels his kiss). ♥ ♥ ♥
