Welcome to Chenqing 100! We are a drabble community for 魔道祖师 | Módào Zǔshī, 陈情令 | CQL | The Untamed, and related RPF. It was created because several people on Twitter and DW expressed a wish for such a community and the challenge of writing concise, complete stories that drabbles offer.
You must join the community in order to be able to post to it. Subscribing is not joining, though you are welcome to just subscribe if you only wish to read the works posted to the community.
A new prompt is posted every Friday. The old prompt is closed to fills when the new one is posted. Prompts will be tagged, and fills of old prompts will be allowed during amnesty periods.
I have tried to keep the rules and guidelines few, so as to encourage engagement. Revisions will happen as situations arise, and members are free to contact me either via PM or through email at ranalore at gmail dot com.
Rules:
1. A new prompt is posted every Friday. At that time, the old prompt is closed to fills. There will be regularly announced amnesty periods during which all prompts will be open to fills.
2. a. All versions of canon are equal here. All ships are welcome, as are drabbles focusing on any character. MDZS in all its iterations (except perhaps MDZS Q) deals with potentially disturbing material, all of which is welcome to be explored in fiction here. All of this information is required in headers. If the headers feature something you don't like, just scroll on by. Anti behavior and trolling are not tolerated.
b. If you're concerned a drabble is hatespeech, PM me to let me know. I am a white ciswoman, and though I am making an ongoing effort to educate myself, I know my privilege means I miss things.
3. Drabbles of 100 words, double drabbles of 200 words, "French kiss" drabbles of 250 words, and triple drabbles of 300 words are allowed. These word counts do not include the title. If you are posting something longer than a drabble, please use a cut tag. See this entry in the Dreamwidth FAQ for how to do a cut tag. There will be occasional special events when drabble sequences are permitted. Those will be discussed in more detail at that time.
4. You may post unlimited responses to a prompt, and more than one drabble in an entry. If you are posting several drabbles in one entry, please use separate headers and a separate cut tag for each drabble.
5. Warn for a focus on the following elements present in canon: graphic violence, explicit sex, character death, suicide, incest, homophobia, and misogyny. Additionally, warn for transphobia and racism. These are the most common elements I have seen warned for using both AO3's warning system and freeform tags. If you feel other elements of your work need to be warned for, please do so. In all cases where a warning is necessary, place the drabble behind a cut tag.
6. New prompts can be suggested in the suggestions thread.
7. Tag your drabble with the relevant prompt. Please format your drabbles to include:
Subject: Prompt Topic: Drabble Title
Headers should include drabble title, author's name, word count/drabble type, primary character(s) or ship(s), any applicable warnings (or a rating, if you desire), a brief summary if desired, and any pertinent notes, such as title source, beta thanks, or whether the drabble is a missing scene or features a well-known trope. It's recommended to keep notes short, given the brevity of the drabbles themselves.
Use a divider between headers and drabble, like so:
~~~~
Body of drabble
Here is an optional template, just delete any inapplicable fields:
