Inspired by Zhang Zhehan's recent brief hospitalisation for sunstroke, while location filming. Yes, he was wearing lots of long black layers.



FUSSING

Lan Zhan cupped Wei Ying's head, as he lowered him to the pillow. “Lie still while I get you settled.” That his charge only pouted said much about how uncomfortable he felt, so Lan Zhan worked as fast as he could to unpick the various ties and layers of clothing.

“Don't fuss.”

“This is not fuss. It is treatment. Sunstroke is dangerous. If you wear black, at least remember to use your Core to regulate body heat in the sun.”

Wei Ying subsided. Now was not the time to tell him about that. Maybe when he felt better.

Yes, Lan Zhan's white would be much cooler in the sun, wouldn't it? (Although he almost always looks cool anyway!)
I like this scene.

White reflects some of the sunlight, so it should be cooler, although with all the layers LZ wears that may not necessarily work. I think his Core would do most of the work.

This was all sweetness and caretaking--especially sweet when the caretaking involves undressing--and then OHHHHHH you dropped the Core bomb! That was really well done; I like how that twist gives the fic a little bite.
