Drawing the strange sword through the ghost-thickened air of the Burial Mounds requires as much effort as pulling it from the Tortoise of Slaughter, and Wei Wuxian no longer has a cultivator's strength to call on. But he rebuilt himself from corpses with nothing but his will to avenge YunmengJiang. He only needs a weapon.
He needs the ghosts to stop screaming.
He drives the tip of the blade into the parched earth, and the voices cut off. All but one.
Wei Wuxian, do you want revenge?
He needs a weapon. He wants to win this war.
We'll be victory.
