He is Hanguang-Jun; he goes where the chaos is.

He knows what people say about him. He does not smile—there is nothing to smile at—but the irony does not escape him: that this light bearer carries chaos and darkness in his own heart, ever since Nightless City, that he remains as resentful as any ghost of a world that no longer contains Wei Wuxian, no matter how many times he plays on the guqin.

But he perseveres. Even in a world without Wei Wuxian, intentions matter, promises must be kept. And Lan Wangji must still confront the chaos.

With his lack of expression it's so easy to fall into the trap of thinking LZ feels nothing, but the total opposite is true. You've expressed that very well.

I love how you highlighted the irony of Lan Wangji's own chaotic heart, and the fact that this man who looks so unemotional to most is actually one of the most passionate characters in the cast. This is a lovely piece <3
