Love: No More Separation (on this bridge we walk together)

Title: No More Separation (on this bridge we walk together)
Author: Rana Eros
Drabble Type: Double Drabble
Ship: Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian
Rating/Warnings: Inexplicit kissing, set immediately after the end of the drama, pretty fluffy
Summary: Lan Wangji finds Wei Ying and makes another declaration. A drama coda.
Author's Notes: Many thanks to Eliza, who audienced, betaed, and helped me wrestle an ending into submission.

"Wei Ying," Lan Wangji says, one year after they last saw each other. There are no magpies flocking to build them a bridge, but it's hardly needed when Wei Ying turns and bestows his most beautiful smile; the light of it draws him in as though Wei Ying's cast a binding talisman and pulled.

"Lan Zhan," Wei Ying says when they're close enough to touch. His voice, too, is full of light, and his eyes.

Lan Wangji wants to bask in it.

He takes Wei Ying's hand, raises it to his forehead ribbon, and presses it flat. It's the clearest message he knows to convey, and by the sharply indrawn breath, he knows Wei Ying understands. And then Wei Ying gives him an entirely new smile, one that eclipses the rest.

"Wei Ying," he says again, the beginning of a question and the answer to everything. He cups Wei Ying's face in his hands, feels the heat of Wei Ying's blush. But then Wei Ying has both hands in his hair, on his ribbon, eyes wide.

"Kiss me, Lan Zhan?"

It's what he's waited for. Lan Wangji leans in; Wei Ying meets him halfway. Together, they bridge the final distance.

Such a sweet coda to the drama ending <3 I like the light imagery surrounding Wei Ying -- it's a very neat reversal of the usual Wangxian light/darkness duality, and of course the Lightbearer would have his own light!

Lovely! And I like how you used that bit about the bridge.
