Aside from a brief period of madness after Wei Ying's disappearance (he WILL not call it death), WangJi does not drink alcohol. He discovered it destructive to both body and mind. Neither is he one to frequent roofs for pleasure.
Now he sits, cross-legged and straight-backed, upon the tiles of his jingshi, staring up at a sky brimming with stars. Mother once said that each represented a soul awaiting rebirth. On the twelfth anniversary of that battle he lifts a single wine-cup, until moon crowds out stars from rim to rim.
Wei Ying is not up there. He...is...not.
